Abstract: Concepts and definitions in multi-objective programming are introduced. Difficulties in solving multi-objective programming problems are outlined. Some commonly used solution approaches, such as the weighted sum method, goal programming, the ε-constraint method and interactive methods, are presented. Pitfalls in solving multi-objective programming problems are also mentioned.
